- During the year 2014, Jewargi Agro Food Park was launched to function as convenient platform for Micro, Small and Medium entrepreneurs (MSME’s) and special Agri-Food entrepreneurs.
- Developed industrial plots have been allotted to potential entrepreneurs & industrialists for establishment of Food Processing industries for value addition and marketing of processed foods
- 7 Food industries are functioning and about 3 industries are under construction and about 10 entrepreneurs are expected shortly to commence.
- Existing food industries are directly purchasing agri commodities from farmers for the purpose of processing, value addition and marketing.
- Towards performance of its full capacity, efforts are being made to create adequate common marketing infrastructure facility to build food business eco system in Food Park.
- Proposed to obtain Private Agriculture Produce Market Licensee under APMC act through Jewargi Agro Food Park Ltd, Jewargi for the benefit of farmers and traders to accelerate sustainable growth.
- Upgradation of existing marketing Infrastructure facilities and services. Planned and programed to develop additional nine commodity specific warehouse, logistics and e-trading hubs to boost marketing through Food Park is under progress.
- Proposals for Government support for establishment of “Agri-Commodity Specific” warehouse, logistics and e-trading facilities is under active consideration.
